We appreciate your interest in becoming a foster and making a difference in the lives of animals in need! If you're prepared to create a loving sanctuary within your home for a foster animal, take a moment to familiarize yourself with the below requirements and conditions.

To be considered as a foster, you must:

  • Spay or Neuter Pets

Ensure that all animals in your home, aged six months or older, are spayed or neutered, unless there are medical or extenuating reasons for not doing so.

  • Vaccinations

Ensure that all animals in your home are up-to-date on vaccinations.

  • Consent from Landlord

If you rent your home, obtain consent from your landlord to have a foster animal.

  • 18+

Be 18 years of age or older.

In addition, by becoming a foster, you agree to the following conditions outlined in the Foster Home Agreement.

  • Commit to caring for the foster animal until it is adopted into a new home. Please note that this process can take anywhere from a week to several months or more.

  • Ensure the foster animal resides inside your home and is not left outdoors when you're not present, including in outdoor kennel runs.

  • Never leave the foster animal unattended with young children.

  • Ensure the foster animal wears an ID tag on its collar at all times when in public or outdoors and is leashed unless in a securely fenced area.

  • Keep the foster animal current on necessary veterinary care, such as vaccinations, deworming, etc.

  • Check your voicemail, text messages, and/or emails from us daily and respond within 24 hours.
